Who we are
Anaya is published by ANAYA (“we”). This policy explains what happens to information when you use the Anaya app for iPhone and this website.
What stays on your phone
To remember where you are, Anaya saves a small amount of information on your iPhone: which questions you’ve completed, where you left off, the moments you’ve kept, and your settings (language, text size, motion and narration). It never leaves your device and we can’t see it. Deleting the app deletes it.
Narration
Reading needs no connection. If you choose to listen, the narration audio is downloaded from our content delivery provider, Amazon CloudFront. As with any download, that provider briefly receives the technical information it needs to send the file, such as your IP address and device type. We don’t use it to identify you. You can also save a language’s narration on your phone in Settings › Narration.
Sharing
When you share Anaya or a moment from it, the standard iOS share sheet opens. What you send, and to whom, goes through the app you choose. We don’t see it.
Apple
You download Anaya from the App Store, so Apple processes your download under its own privacy policy. If you’ve allowed it in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may share anonymous, aggregated statistics with developers, such as crash reports.
This website
This site uses no cookies, analytics or tracking. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running.
Children
Anaya doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how your information is handled, we’ll say so in the app.
